Special Projects
The ARL DSRC staff, partnering with the ARL Advanced Computing & Computational Sciences Division provides innovation and support for numerous projects and efforts to improve, enhance, and further the science and methodology of high performance computing. We will be showcasing some of these projects here.
Engineering Tools Portal (ETP)
The Engineering Tools Portal is built around a Microsoft HPC 2008 R2 server and provides an access point for delivering HPC-aware Windows applications to a user's desktop. Currently the Portal is offering MATLAB with the capability of running computations in parallel using the Parallel Computing Toolbox. Other Windows applications will soon follow.
To learn more about the Portal and obtain an account on the Portal, please view the Engineering Tools Portal User Guide.
Computational Science Environment (CSE)
In efforts to provide a common platform for utilizing and developing data analysis and
assessment applications in heterogeneous High Performance Computing (HPC) environments,
the Classified Data Analysis and Assessment Center (CDAAC) has developed the Computational
Science Environment (CSE). CSE is a new module based software release structure for the
software platform once known as the Interdisciplinary Computing Environment (ICE).
